Kids on Parade - A Royal Procession/Costume ContestParades are an important part of Irish culture. Parading throughout Irish history is often considered to be an assertion of a group's control over a particular area, and as a result parading could often be highly controversial. What group was the strongest or the most important? Parades were a bold statement to show off a group. Our parade is our Kid’s bold statement, and this year is no different except it will be to a Royal Beat of the drum. Prior to the Parade, we will be naming Best King, Best Queen, Best Knight and Best Princess. And while costumes are fun, royalty is sometimes judged by attitude. Please wear your costume and join us! |
