Get ready to experience the magic of Irish storytelling on the big screen! Kansas City Irish Fest is proud to present two notable Irish films, shown for free inside the Ruby Room at Crown Center. Whether you're a lifelong cinephile or simply curious about Irish culture, these special screenings offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart and soul of Ireland through film. There is no additional charge to attend the screenings, but you must have a KC Irish Fest admission ticket.

That They May Face the Rising Sun, winner of the 2024 Irish Oscar for Best Picture, will show at 3 p.m. Saturday in Crown Center’s third-floor Ruby Room. This film is a glorious adaptation of the late John McGahern's final novel. The festival will present the movie with the Kansas City Irish Film Award. Attendees must purchase a festival admission ticket. There is no additional charge.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Rating PG-13.

Rosie and Frank is a charming comedy about a widow who believes that a stray dog is inhabited by the spirit of her late husband. The film earned a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It will show at 3 p.m. Sunday in Crown Center’s third-floor Ruby Room. The movie’s dialogue is in Irish with English subtitles. Attendees must purchase a festival admission ticket. There is no additional charge.
